To summarize my core values and my advice: care, be real, get it done, and have fun, seriously!

With over 25 years of extensive experience in the academic and industrial biopharma field, one could say it has become part of my DNA and it is my passion to help and support startups and inventors with brilliant ideas in the biotech field. Our goal is to transform these ideas into successful products and finally launch them on the market. This is where my network consisting of all the stakeholders from the biopharma industry, universities up to the financing side will be extremely valuable.

It is often overlooked that management and professionalism is not what it is all about but that the basic human touch too is essential.  What good are the best ideas, intelligence etc. if integrity and sincerity are sidelined, especially in the face of problematic situations that will inevitably arise? Therefore, it is important that the market perceives my clients and their inventions positively right from the start.

​

Another often overlooked aspect is procrastination! I have developed strategies how to control this behavior in a world of constant change,  where unexpected scenarios – such as the pandemic and now even a war in Europe – lure us away from our actual tasks over and over again and lead us into a procrastination spiral. This is part of my coaching services, which are designed to keep us focused.

And, please, let us always practise positive thinking. I am reputed as a solution-oriented and problem-solving healthcare expert and business coach and live up to that by achieving the strategic and operational corporate goals set in cooperation with the client.

 

We never want to overpromise and underdeliver, we want to be self confident yet not over confident, we want to empathize and practice integrity in communications. This is how we maintain the respect and trust of our partners and how we avoid losses. I personally attend to my clients, help them to stay focused, stay foolish, and stay hungry (in the style of my idol Steve Jobs).

Sometimes it is part of our job to communicate that certain ideas or product inventions may not work out and in the process help the client avoid unnecessary investments of time and money.

My partners and I do not represent famous big brands. And that is why we are able to offer our clients customized and solution-oriented advice.

 

We greatly value our access to the non-profit driven academic world. As I personally never turned my back to the academic system that made me, I still can count on them as source of inspiration and veritable partners.

Timing is best - during and because of the recent pandemic the healthcare systems worldwide must be strengthened against future calamities.

 

Our systems are too fragile and fragmented. In logical consequence, every invention of the biopharma industry that meets current medical needs will contribute to a better preparedness in the event of future crises. With the right product at hand, we jumpstart their success in the market and with potential investors.

The pandemic also led to a rapid onset of focus on biopharma-market and a flood of IPOs of very early-stage biotechs with poor strategies, products that were not ready for the market, with neither platform technology nor scientifically differentiated product candidates or experienced management. The respective market correction will take some time.

But even in these trying times, we will identify and develop the right products and business models and we will support you and your products onto the path of success.

We cover and accompany the entire spectrum of biopharma companies - from the startups to Big Pharma.

 

We know the needs of both sides: on the one hand, there is the brain power with exceptional ideas, and on the other hand, there is a permanent pressure on the big ones to deliver a steady flow of new products.

 

Building up strategic collaborations at the early stages of development is key and managing that segment professionally is the great art.
